Awful

I noted the last comments which read: Basically, after a pressurised cold call from one of their 'reps' I agreed to let them make claims on my behalf. This was based on their extreme confidence from their history of my financial dealings over the past years, that I had genuine monies due to me in compensation. Paid ยฃ495 mandatory admin fees for them to pursue such claims, but informed that this would be refundable if "compensation was less or achieved only same amount on completion". I've since tried to make contact on numerous occasions regain my ยฃ495, no communication etc., received from their offices, telephone number unobtainable or ongoing "staff undergoing training" message. I should have referred to the website about this company and heeded the previous customers warnings before accepting any dealings with them, but it's too late for regrets now. However, I advise anyone even considering transactions with this company to avoid at your financial peril!!!!!!!

This company has gone into liquidation, their director Lloyd Davies Ha placed it into voluntary liquidation, so he ca n set up another scam company like this one. I too was conned out of ยฃ495 in August 2015, and have looked on websites with this company attached to, and guess what, in 2014 he had a company called vanquish, and red reclaim, has these fraudsters are aloud to get away with it beggers belief.

Hi. I have had exactly the same almost word for word.

I did hear back from one of the banks and told not entitled. I was told by Litchfield that to resubmit the claim takes 6 mths. I have waited the 6 mths only to find out 5 mins ago the number no longer exists. I guess we have to say goodbye to the money?

So pissed off.. they sounded so professional

Paid ยฃ495 mandatory admin fees for them to pursue such claims, but informed that this would be refundable if "compensation was less or achieved only same amount on completion". I had to complete and deal with the forms received from various suppliers myself and then paid 20% per 'successful' claim - taxable at source too!!! In total I received less than the ยฃ495. February 2016 my wife was talked into parting with ยฃ500 as an advance as she definitely had at least ยฃ3,000 coming back in mis-sold PPI and they would turn it around in no more than three months. My wife contacted them around October to chase and was told she hadn't sent the claim form back. She'd never received one. "I'll get one out to you now. Please send it back by return and we can get you your money." No form ever came. I googled them to get a phone number and ended up here. I now have to tell her she was scammed and has lost her ยฃ500.

I'm having the same issue, paid ยฃ495 in 2015 and had nothing. Phone number on email is unobtainable- what do I do now?

I need the money back as nothing has been forthcoming from them.

Has anyone really had any success with this company to date, I would be interested to know?

What is the regulatory body who we can report this to?

Shameful

This dispicable firm started my PPI claim back in June 2015 I have had to chase them all the time they were asking foe information that they already had. Now realise they no longer operate. What a waste of time. There should be a law against this shark practise. Very annoyed to put it politely client. They are time wasters not professional it should not be allowed to happen they should have been regulated. I must say they were very helpful and seemed convincing of getting a good result. But as time went on I was beginning to have my doubts. People beware of who we are dealing with.

Same here paid ยฃ500 and gave details got some money back but looks like I've lost ยฃ500 too. Lesson learned here never pay up front. Total scammers

I have also had a bad experience with Litchfield Price, they canvasses me very hard in October 2015 and have been fobbing me off ever since, asking for more of my old addresses (how many should I have had!) also asking me if I have had accounts with practically all banks/lenders ever invented. They do not communicate and they do not intend to give me my ยฃ495 back, a terrible company

Lack of communication and false promises

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
They took ยฃ450 from my account to persue PPI ,eventually confirmed that nothing was forthcoming from PPI and ยฃ450 would be returned to my account. Despite regular telephone calls and on each occasion was promised my money would be returned within 21 days, this of course never happened,I was informed by answer phone that all staff were on a training course There should be some recourse and all Directors, management and staff fined and sent to prison . The staff were obviously trained to be as obstructive and devious as possible. All they ever did was constantly told lies. They should never be allowed to take part in any financial undertaking ever again

I have paid ยฃ500 to them and given my details and have heard nothing from them. The agency initially assumed me a claim and also promised to pay me back the ยฃ500 in- case they are unable to claim me any amount.

I sent them letters and emails but so far I have not heard from them.

Their contact number is not reachable. They are trading for JAS financial Advisory Service Limited.

I was initially contacted like others with the offer of getting any and all PPI monies back if I paid an upfront fee of ยฃ495 - I declined. Several months later I was contacted by 'customer services' to see why I had not gone ahead. When I mentioned it was the upfront fee they offered to waive it, although this meant that the % 'fee' they took was now 40% - didn't realise it at the time. As I was not having to pay upfront I thought I would be foolish not to proceed, especially as I was given the impression that I could be inline for several thousands. Well I got about ยฃ250 less their 40%+VAT and whilst looking to chase them up, having not heard anything for 6 months, have stumbled across the fact they are no longer trading. So glad I didn't pay up front but still extremely annoyed with them for offering false promises.

JAS (litchfield price) now in liquidation

I have just been informed that Litchfield Price has now gone into liquidation owing thousands to creditors which includes my ยฃ495 which they scammed from me , supposedly to recover PPI refunds, I have been trying for 3 years to get my money back, every legal way has failed which includes the credit card company who it was paid through, as two old age pensioners living on our government pensions we can ill afford to lose this money but according to the ombudsman's office our only way now is to add our names to the list of creditors who may get a few pence in the pound once the company has been wound up, What amazes me is that this man is allowed to continue in business, Litchfield was his 3rd company doing the same thing to the public, to be closed on volentary liquidation, so he is now able to restart with another name and do it all over again, where is the justice.

How do you make a chargeback claim?

You can only start a chargeback claim with your card provider once you've exhausted all other avenues. So if you've run into a dead end with a firm which has refused to give back a mistaken double payment, or can get no reply from a company you paid to deliver an item that never turned up, you can start the process.

Act quickly as there's a claim deadline

The rules set by Visa, chargeback and American Express only usually give you 120 days to get a claim in โ€“ and the clock usually starts ticking when you first notice a problem though it will depend on the type of situation.

Here are some examples:

Broken goods

You buy a bicycle and take it for a first spin two weeks later only to discover its brakes are faulty โ€“ and the retailer won't help sort it. The deadline starts when you spotted the deficiency. Failed delivery A delivery date for your ordered goods isn't met, the item never arrives and complaint calls to the firm go unanswered. The deadline starts with the original missed delivery.

Collapsed company You book a flight or trip with a firm that then goes bust before you take it. The deadline starts from the date the flight was due to *** or the holiday to start. To start a claim, call your bank card provider and ask to dispute the transaction. It can then start the procedure of claiming the money back from the supplier's bank.

Some claims CAN be made after 120 days โ€“ for example if you paid for something that was to be provided at a point in the future โ€“ a point often unspecified โ€“ but that didn't end up being supplied. This might typically be a payment for extra renovation work in the future โ€“ with a card payment made during an existing home improvement project โ€“ where the building company takes the card payment but later folds before the extra work can be done. However, even with these claims, there's a time limit of a maximum 540 days from the date of the transaction. It's worth noting most bank staff don't really know about this procedure, so you may need to explain it to them.

There's no upper limit to the payouts (Mastercard has a minimum of ยฃ10). If you're told to put your request in writing here's a template letter to help: FREE template letter! We've put together a chargeback refund template letter to help you complain. Problems opening the letter?

If you're unsuccessful, then contact the Financial Ombudsman to make a complaint. This is completely free and well worth doing, there's a simple claim form on its website and details on how it can help in the Financial Fight Back guide.

I have just found out the same information about the liquidation of Lichfield Price Ltd. after some 14 months after being duped by the same.

For those of you that are in the same situation have a look here where it reads you have 120 days to make a claim against your Debit Card after finding out you've been duped but can be extended to 540 days if the arrangement was open-ended and had no term.

Liquidation date was 3rd November.

Good luck
